Advise for a safer use.
You would be explosing a good amount of your database information on dbDir. It is advisable that you should create some sort of a database View or User that does not have administrative rights and have buffered access to your database. In simple terms, you needed to create some sort of buffered access and post the information of the buffered access (something you are willing to sacrifice) and maybe it's username and password (not similar to the main database's) onto dbDir for others to use.
dbDir is simply a directory service program for databases and does not provide any gaurantees of safety of your databases in events that the information obtained from dbDir was used to cause inconveniences to your databases.
YOU SHOULD ALWAYS PROTECT YOUR OWN RESOURCES. dbDir SIMPLY ACTS AS A DIRECTORY SERVICE, SERVING OUT DATA TO WHOMEVER YOU HAVE AUTHOROZED ACCORDING TO THE PERMISSIONS YOU HAVE GIVEN TO EACH INDIVIDUALS WHO ACCESS YOUR DATABASE PROFILE(S).
BY USING dbDir, YOU HAVE AGREED TO AND READ THE ABOVE DISCLAIMER.
